For those who believe in Fairy Tales, like most women,we want the fairytale love, but it's only found in books
or in our hearts.! I give you this The Beauty Of Love.

Beauty of Love LinnBelle Long ago in a land very far away, a boy was born to the first
hand of the King and Queen. The servant had served them well for several years. Then it was the custom of the "land
to promise the first born son of the King to other King's Princess who reigned over the other land near by. But King Samual
and the Queen Rena had only bore girls, and so desired a son. Not only for the wealth they would receive along with recognition
the King , wanted a son. So he struck a bargain up with his servants Jon and Serena. Their first born son would
become a Knight and serve the King as well, and be promised to the hand of the Princess just born a fort night before
to the King and Queen of Newton. so it was recorded in the by laws of the two countries that Prince Lawrence of Saudia was
to be married to Princess Myralyn of Newton on the first day of August in the year 1492. The two would be married
in the castle of the Princess at her age of fifteen, Prince Lawrence would be nineteen. And so the two lived a very happy~childhood
both taught to understand the custom and were willing to abide by it At the early age of nine Lawrence and Myralyn spent
a lot of time together. They had the same teacher to attend to their learning and often played down by the river. And very
often fought about everything they could possible disagree upon. Both became very unhappy at the thoughts they would have
to marry as it was promised. And did so try to become good friends and perhaps learn to fall in love. At the time Lawrence
turned eighteen he and Myralyn had allready decided to theirselves that they were not compatible with each other, and
neither wanted to marry the other. But they knew they would have to sooner or later, and time was running near. They
both tried with all their might to fall in love, but it wasn't meant to be. And they remained very unhappy with each other.
Lawrence tried to convince his mother and the Queen that his heart did not belong to Myralyn and it would be
a very unfortunate mistake for them to marry. But the Queen assured him he would fall in love with her in time, as she and
the King had. "It must be it has been decided long ago. You will reign over two countries Knight, and have wealth untold,
much more than your King and I have.""But your Highness, not all the wealth and gold in the world can by my love,
I can never love Princess Myralyn, I've tried. You must change the law I can not marry into unhappiness." "I am
sorry my child, but it must be." A few months later, while Lawrence was out overlooking the land he was
dressed in his suit of Armor since he had become a full Knight. He stopped to give his horse some water at the river where
he and Myralyn often spent their time. And was sadden by the thoughts that the time was nearing. He saw a figure
on the other side and crossed the banks to investigate. There he saw a beautiful young woman dressed in patched and ragged
clothes She bowed her recognition to him and apologized for stopping to give her horse water, she was riding through. She
said her name was Kaylia and he told her his. She was drawn to his soft warm, eyes blue like the river's water. He admired
her smile and the'beauty of her face, and long flowing golden hair. He told' her to wait at the river for water as long as
she needed, and returned to his side of the river. Try as he might he tried to erase the scene from his mind. But
it haunted him in his days, as well as his nights. He wanted to see her beautiful face and icy blue eyes, and full lips.
Hestayed patiently by the river for days at perhaps as close to the same time as they had met before. But Kaylia didn'"t
return. A month passed and Lawrence supposed she had moved on to another town. Although he had given up on
seeing her again he was riding one day and stopped at the river, to give his horse water. Imagine his surprise when he
saw a familiar figure acrqss the river. He .crossed the river once again, and their eyes met. He saw her pretty
smile and again she bowed to him. He asked her not to, he wanted ber to imagine him just as she was a mere pheasant and
not to think of him as royalty. Although "she was hesitant she let him persuade her and they talked. for quiet some
time. He told her he was intended to bemarried as the usual custom. since the day he was born. He had been promised to a princess,
But he didn't love the girL and, didn't want to marry her. For days they would meet just to talk to each other and
often he would remind her of his peril. She would often talk about her homeland and the love she was well taught by her parents.
She also knew of the laws even though she did not understand them. She would say, "I think marriage should be a decision
made, between two people who want to be together. Not to be decided by outsiders and ruled 'upon. It must make for many
worries. My heart reaches out for you, to understand and wish I could but help you change it. But I know not what to
do, I will speak to my papaw. He then lifted her head looking into her eyes he said. "I love you, and would like to marry
you. I wish there was a way, you are my love, my heart aches to be with you, if but I could. She turned her head away and
said, "But i t wouldn't be right sir, it can never be. I am just a poor village girl and wear ragged clothes.
I could never be accepted from your country, and your Father nor the King." "But we can make it work,
surely. Could you love me?" "Oh sir, I could as easily as I do, not even knowing you and not even seeing no
more than your eyes. I have loved just that for many days now. But we can not wish so for it to be" Instead
they were just content to spend a litlle time talking and getting to know each other. When the day grew late, he said I should
be going back."Then he asked "when will you come back here?" "Tomorrow if not but just to see you
sir " "Tomorrow my love, then maybe we can have answers to our problem. Same time, I shall see you. I wish you
no harm till then." "Goodbye my Knight! " And he watched her ride away before turning his horse back to
head home himself. The next day he talked to his Father and begged him to let him out of the marriage. But he said
there was no way get out of it. Lawrence asked what if he married someone else other than his intended. His Father shook
his head and you can't and even if you do decide to marry outside the custom, you shall be severely punished if the marriage
was consummated. Besides loosing all the wealth that is waiting for you and becoming King. You will be breaking the law of
our country and will surely be put to death." They spent as much time togetmer down by the river as time would
allow. Never getting out of his armor, just content being near each other and holding her hands in his big armored hands.
They professed their love to each other over and over. And each day when they had to part she would cry and say she
shouldn't return, it only makes it worse. But he begged her to promise to return just so they could be together for the time
they had. During his free time he found a piece of metal. He worked hard with his hands and a hammer of sorts. He
beat and flattened the metal until it took on many colors like the rainbow. Then he shaped it into a heart. He made a chain
and when it was finally finished he carried it to the river. Anxiously he awaited for her return. When she finally did
he reminded her agai of his peril. How much his heart belonged to her and he vowed that one day they would be together if not
but only in the heavens. She hushed him for talking so foolishly. It was then he took the chain and held it in his big
armored hands. The heart sumbol glistened in the sunlight taking on all the beautiful colors it had.And he said."This
is my heart.Keep it alwlays with you. When you are afraid and feel you can't go on,hold onto it.Feel me,my heart and know that
I am with you in my heart and my soul.I'll always love you,and someday we will be together."She took the heart on the
chain placed it around her neck and raised it and kissed it.Then whispered "You will always have a place here"pointing
to her own heart."Here for you are my knight in shining armor.I wish you no harm, but you must go.I shall never forget
you and these days we have had together."And she turned and ran away on her horse. Thirty days before the wedding,
plans were being made Lawrence failed to show up at the river, his Father who suspected he was killing time kept him busy
with business and plans for his future. Trying to teach him as much as he could in the little time they had left. Lawrence
again begged his Father and the King to release him from his tortured future, but to no avail. Kaylia cried for
her Knight who didnt show for many days at the river. she prayed that he was safe. She told her mother of her dilemma
and her mother only said "Hush my child you must forget, it can. never be." But she still waited at the river for
many days throughout the time. Each day she would return to her town, much downhearted. Lawrence was losing sleep
as the time grew near. Oh how he longed to see Kaylia and be with her but there was no time. He worried that Kaylia would
forget him and never forgive him for not being at the river. Two days before the time of the wedding Lawrence dressed in his
suit of armor and rode out to the banks of the river. It had rained for four days and the river was high and rapid, and
he felt sure his plan would not fail, and prayed to his God that it wouldn't. He also prayed that he would give him the strength
for what he was about to do. And to lead him to find the one his heart ached for. For the first time at the
river he took off his suit of armor and started into the river. The waters were strong but so was, he with lots of endurance
he didn't know how he had found unknown strength but he had finally made it to the other side. Once there he found
the bag he had hidden there days before. He pulled out ragged and patched clothes he had purchased from a beggar on the
street, and he put them on. Not sure of which way he should turn, but he started walking. Then he walked till he could
not walk no more and rested in the hollow of a tree. The Morning sun and birds woke him and he started walking again. Not knowing
where to go or how far he would have to go.Hunger pains he could ignore, but the aching in his heart he couldn't the aching
for the need to find her.If not but to see her one last time. Then finally he reached the town, where he saw he would
fit right in. Most there were dressed the same as he. He walked through the town, in search of his Kaylia weary at heart,
as it ached for her. Asking many to show him the way to her. He found her sweeping a floor in one of the buildings. He knew
it was her, by her long flowing hair and kind face. She too knew who he was by his eyes, as she had only seen. And she smiled
but looked over the clothes he now wore and had questions in her eyes. As she started to bow in recognition, holding
out the chain and the heart for him to see.He stopped her whispering "I am just as you now my love, Come we must leave."
They saddled her horse and rode out of town. Leaving the King and the, Princess to believe he had drowned in the fast current
of the river.Leaving his family and wealth behind. At midnight in the middle of her country, they made their vows
under the stars. They Promised to love and cherish each other always. But he reminded her that legally he was breaking the
law if they consummated their love, and were found out, he would surely die. But none of this mattered and happily
they traveled on finally settling in another town many mountains away from what they called home. They didn't care about physical
needs but only the need of their hearts united as one. There he built her a house with his own hands, as measly
as it was, with rough woods he had cut and cleaned and it's small space and dirt floor. But to them it never mattered it was
a Castle, theirs and they filled iit with their love. Although they were saddened at the thought of not having the chance
to raise their own children, they were content. Content in their love for each other. Her only other love was flowers,
that grew free in the land.Beautiful red ones, to this thought he built a flower garden for her and the flowers, that they
had replanted. In the middle of that flower garden he built a pedestaL, way up high and placed a seat for her to sit upon.
There she could be among the other things of beauty where she belonged.Days they would sit in the flower gardenadmiring the
flowers. He would join her at her feet, and again and again professing their love for one another. Word got around
throughout the other towns- of a Maiden who set on a pedestal among the flowers. They said she had hair like the sunshine and
wore a rainbow of hearts, and was heard to be very wise. Many came from very far to ask and learn about love from
them. And they had plenty to teach about,Some were told of the secret they held, some trusted were. Many were not And they
were brought material gifts of love for their wisdom they freely shared. Although they never could have children,
never consummated their love for each other, they were happy and content just being together, and so they lived for many many
years there on. And were never discovered that he he was a Knight and once was promised to the Princess.Although he gave
up wealth and recognition in the two lands that he would never visit again,he was forever rich in the love the two shared
together Happily ever after! The End In these days of lax morals and free sex many could learn
from this tale. To learn that love is something to be cherished and is worth more than any silver and gold. And that consummation
of that love is a wonderful gift' AnNot something to be thrown away at will. As not many would live without sex, they should
learn that love is stronger than sex. But sex should only strengthen love, and not be passed around freely. Young people could
learn a lot form a story like this, and have something to look forward to. By learning a special meaning of love from this,
and one true meaning of life! And that they shouldn't just settle for simple sex, and meaningless marriage .A marriage that
some just toss out like yesterday's trash. And that the best thing they could have is someone to share their love too. And
know that Instead to wait for the only true meaning to life, is finding a right love, and keeping it alive. Not everyone can
be a Princess or a Knight, such as like the Pheasant girl. But they don't have to settle for something wrong. If they strive
to be their best and wait for the right one to come along.
